Our opening event for 2014: Experience the splendour, pagentry and romance of the medieval world with knights, archers, exciting combat, music and dance all wthin a colourful encampment. £6 adults, £3.50 children under 16/concessions, £15 Family (2 adults & up to 3 children)

Free Entry to Castle Courtyard The castle courtyard will be open for visitors from Wednesday 23rd April – Friday 25th April (11am-3.30pm). The castle facilities will be closed due to refurbishment of the café area, bar and other indoor areas. Toilets at the country park will be open. We hope that all our visitors enjoy the Easter break.

Ghost Hunt

Join Southern Paranormal Society at Caldicot Castle for a ghost hunt to remember. Whether you are a seasoned ghost hunter or just starting out you will get straight into the action using our equipment and taking part in vigils, séances, scrying, ouija boards, table tipping, human pendulums and lots more. Will you come face to face with the grey lady of the tower? Dare you find out?

Fortress WalesBack for a third year across the castle and country park the multi period living history re enactment weekend. From medieval to WW2, live battles and over 500 re enactors.

Welsh Perry and Cider Festival

Back for its second year at the castle:

The Welsh Perry and Cider Festival enters its 13th year this May, when the festival returns to Caldicot Castle. The event begins at 6pm on Friday 23rd May and runs all weekend, with live music and entertainment. Monday 26th May will be a family orientated day with games and entertainment.

Plantagenet Medieval Society

The Plantagenet Medieval Society, have been performing all over Britain and Europe for over 40 years, their tournament show although often copied has never been bettered. 14th century knights from the time just after the epic English victories at Crecy and Poitier, bringing their sumptuously dressed ladies, to watch them, take part in a foot tournament .
